I want to upgrade my server package, do I need to wait for my existing one to expire?

No! With BoxServers you can change your package at any time during the month and we will only charge you the additional costs of the new parts at the time of purchase, when we send you your next invoice it will be for the new updated price too.

Do I need a dedicated server?

Dedicated servers are attractive to some users who need absolute security, or because they have sites which generate very high traffic volumes or run complicated applications like e-commerce platforms. If you are comfortable that you are sufficiently expert in managing the operating system and critical patching, and you have the time, it might be an option to consider.

What kind of backups do you make?

Depending on the server package you have chosen we run an automated backup to tape, these backups are secure on kept on our secondary servers just incase something goes wrong.

Can I reboot my anytime?

Yes, you can completely shutdown and start your dedicated server whenever you want!

Will I get a static or dynamic IP address?

Each client will recieve a unique static IP address, this means you will not need to update your services everytime your servers IP changes, it also allows you to assign a domain name to your server if you wish.
